On this very important Veterans Day, we are thankful for those who selflessly serve our country, and remember the sacrifices that have been made for us. In honor of these heroes, we are excited and honored to launch our INCREDIBLE new partnership with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports by hosting a Veterans Day Fundraiser!

Every season, Vermont Adaptive’s team creates new experiences for participants that match each individual’s skill level. Whether you are a Vermonter or are just visiting, there is an opportunity for you to try something new or continue a sport that you love. Options integrate environmental, holistic, wellness, and competitive training philosophies for people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities. In addition to supporting this incredible organization, here are some other ways to get involved! These organizations are ready to help if you’re a veteran, and offer many opportunities to get involved if you’re looking for more ways to support our veterans:

American Legion - The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. Hundreds of local American Legion programs and activities strengthen the nation one community at a time.

The PTSD Foundation of America - Aims to bring hope and healing to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related Post Traumatic Stress. They do this by taking a whole-person approach, offering evidence-based peer-to-peer mentoring, both on an individual basis and in group settings. In addition, our programs and services are free to the Veteran and their family so that the focus remains on their journey to healing.

Hire Heroes - Hire Heroes USA provides free job search assistance to U.S. military members, veterans and military spouses, and we help companies connect with opportunities to hire them.

Operation Gratitude - To forge strong bonds between Americans and their Military and First Responder Heroes through volunteer service projects, acts of gratitude, and meaningful engagements in communities nationwide.

DAV - A nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year. Annually, the organization provides more than 600,000 rides to veterans attending medical appointments and assists veterans with well over 200,000 benefit claims.
